Hydrocarbon Soil Remediation That Feeds the Bugs Already in the Ground.

Petroleum in soil is removed two ways that matter here: get it off the soil particles, and let microbes eat it. Hasten Cleanse does the first with fatty acids and surfactants that release the hydrocarbon from the soil, and helps the second by being a food source for the indigenous microbes rather than a foreign culture dumped on top of them. Water-based, no flash point, in-situ or ex-situ.

In-Situ and Ex-Situ

Fresh lease spill, in place

Spray at 1:20, work into the soil, let the chemistry release the oil and the biology take it from there. Vapor is suppressed while you work.

Excavated pile, ex-situ

Wet the pile with diluted product while turning it. Repeat as the pile is worked.

Pit and cellar closures

Treat the residual hydrocarbon on soil and concrete before backfill or removal.

Limits

It releases hydrocarbon from soil. It does not treat metals, chlorinated solvents, or non-hydrocarbon contamination.

No added bacteria. Hasten Cleanse is a chemical, fatty acids and surfactants, with nothing alive in it. It does not introduce a culture that competes with or displaces the microbes already in your system. The fatty acids are food for the population you have.

How It Works in Soil

Surfactants break the bond between hydrocarbon and soil particles.

Oil is suspended in the water phase where it can be recovered or reached by microbes.

Fatty acids provide a food source that supports the native hydrocarbon-degrading population.

Vapor from the treated soil is suppressed during the work.

What Hasten Cleanse does not do

It is not a solvent and not a caustic. It will not dissolve, melt, or strip material that is physically bonded or baked onto a surface: scale, rust, hardened deposits, coatings. It lifts hydrocarbons, oil, grease, crude, sludge, and paraffin, by emulsifying them, and it needs agitation, circulation, pressure, or heat to do that work. If your problem is a stuck-on solid rather than a hydrocarbon film or residue, tell us and we will say so.
